Reigning Swiss H2GP Champions head Back to World Final
This past weekend 20 Swiss H2GP teams took part in the 2024 Swiss H2GP Final in Romont, Switzerland – putting their hydrogen engineering skills to the test over a 6 hour ‘endurance race’ designed to boost much needed clean energy competencies in the next generation.
Team EPAI Gibs took first place, booking a ticket to California later this year for the H2GP World Final.
The race came off the back of multiple years of success in Switzerland, with Swiss teams making it to last year’s World Final in Las Vegas in 2023. This year’s Swiss champions are already looking forward to making the trip to California to compete against the best schools from over 20 countries around the world.
“It was a fantastic event where students showed off all the clean energy engineering skills they learned over the past semester”, said Václav Bystrianský from Horizon Educational. “We can’t wait to see what ingenious innovations these students create to boost the performance of their car before the World Final”.
Horizon Educational would like to thank the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie du canton de Fribourg, EMF - Fribourg / Freiburg and the Etat de Fribourg - Staat Freiburg for their support.
