Horizon Educational Provide Donation to the H2GP Foundation, Supporting Clean Energy Education in Title 1 Schools
On Monday, January 8th, 2023, Horizon Educational made a donation to the H2GP Foundation to support clean energy education in Title 1 schools. The donation will transform the lives of 25 students from underserved communities, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and aptitude to solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
“We’re thrilled to receive a major donation from Horizon Educational, the world leader in clean energy education” said Nicola Weiss, Executive Director for the H2GP Foundation. “We find it hard to put into words the impact this will have for dozens of students looking to prepare for the world of work”.
The bulk of the major donation will go toward supporting students’ participation in the Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix (H2GP) program, an innovative educational initiative that seeks to train the next generation of clean energy specialists through hands-on learning. The program, launched in 2017, has since expanded to over 20 countries around the world, with 2000+ students taking part. The recent H2GP World Final saw 150 of the world’s top students head to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in a 6 hour ‘endurance race’.
The Horizon Educational donation is the first in a series of fundraising by the H2GP Foundation in 2024, with conversations already underway some with some the world’s biggest energy organizations.
